Chrome overlay interior kit - opinions

Has anyone seen or installed the chrome overlay kit in an R56? It is a cheaper route than replacement pieces and includes the ring for the tach, but I don't want a cheap look. I'm looking at this kit: http://new.minimania.com/web/Item/G2.../InvDetail.cfm
Thanks!

I went with the OEM Chrome Line upgrade for my MINI. It's easy to install, and it might not be as expensive as you think. Check with Angelo at Prestige MINI on pricing for your MINI.

There are good instructions on swapping out the rings here and on MINI2.com. I found it much easier than I thought in the end. Definitely worth the time and money to go with OEM.

This stick on kit is way to expensive for what you get. It should be priced at $40. Go OEM, You'll feel so much better with the quality

That stick on stuff is junk. Go OEM. I did the chrome line retrofit along with a rooster red color line retrofit and I found it fairly easy.

I would go OEM, but I feel like the tach would bother me, and I'm not in any financial position to replace it as I understand it costs several hundred dollars?
