Check out my new antenna!

Made by "Freedom Designs" and found it here:
http://www.rapidparts.com/rpeCatalog...&name=Antennas

Can be had in silver billet or black billet. Comes with 5mm and 6mm adapters so they work on Minis. Also comes with 3 different mast lengths to make the antenna 5 inch, 6 1/2 inch, or 10 1/2 inch. I personally went with the longest one for reception reasons, but it still 6 inches shorter than stock, and a lot less "thick" looking.

Below pics are all three lengths...

How is the reception on AM? I have been using an S2000 antenna for years but now that I have to hear the Yankees on AM, I have had to move back to stock. FM was perfect with the shorty.

Yankee's?

Hmmm, ...."have to hear the Yankee's". Yeah, nobody wants to hear the Yankee's - they all have to hear them .

Just kidding. I'm here in Michigan. I have to listen to the Tigers. Well, actually, I just turn the dial.

Nice antenae though. No experience with it. Is this an easy DIY? And are those 3 diff. lengths from 3 diff. rods? Or, is it an extender?

Nice. I went for this one from Richbrook after seeing it in Modern Mini magazine. Quite similar to yours.

I got the black one and installed it with the shortest length.

I'll check AM and let you know...haven't tried that yet.

Just as easy as the stocker or any of the shortys. Screw in the threaded fitting, screw it onto the car in place of the stocker.

Different lengths with different rod sizes. Base and tip remain the same.
