Modifying factory seats

I dont know why, but everyone who gets in my car reefs on the passenger seat levers trying to adjust it as if it were a honda. Well it finally broke as a result. After tearing apart the seat trying to fix it, I realized that I would have to buy the top metal frame that pivots ($273.00). While I have it out, I was thinking about adding some more concave to the seat making more of a newer style racing seat while it was apart. Has anyone done this?

Why don't you just save the time and effort and buy a nice new seat. Sparco? Recaro? Cobra? etc etc.

You can a great seat for $320. Granted you will have to get the brackets that are another $100, but still. Nice new amazing seat, or old broken one with extra foam stuffed in it? ... I know what I would do in this situation.

I believe the user OldRick modified his seats for more bolstering. Do a search under his name.

Thanks guys, I would love different seats but Im partial to the lapis blue option and would like to keep all of the factory airbags. My mother is a seamstress and she can help me, I just wanted to see what people have done, if it can be done.
