Front Plate Mounting Holes

If you can't stand the sight of those 2 holes in the bumper after putting on a side mount plate holder (I couldn't), here's a solution that worked for me. Go to any auto parts store and get a couple .25", two piece, black plastic body fasteners. Pull out the center pin and it fits perfect in those holes. On my DS/B paint it blends right in (see pic). Cost? $2.50 @ Kragen's.

To answer another question, front plates are required in Calif.

Unless you have to put a plate up front I suggest not doing it. But if you do go to gominigo.com or just about any other Mini modding website and they should have the drilless plate holder

Does anyone know the bolt size and what not for the bolt that goes in the tow hook. I would like to just make my own.

Don't know if a standard bolt of any kind will work. The bolt that came with my Craven kit was the strangest bolt I've ever seen with very coarse, square threads! However, it went right in. Good Luck!

Yeah I took the tow ring to home depot and autozone and they have never seen a bolt with that thread pattern before. I'm going to try a local boat shop and a truck parts shop and if I can't find it at either I'm just going to order the kit.

It is not a standard thread, doubt full you will find it.

Bolt Designer (?)

I think I've figured it out. The same guy that designed the R56 MCS hood scoop designed that bolt!
