Mini Sport Stripes

Anyone know the width of the Mini Sport Stripes?

Also what is the gap between them?

My body shop is getting ready to paint on my stripes. He asked me how i wanted them done. Not sure what to tell him, but I do know that I like the look of the sport stripes. I know this sounds like a trivial question but I have to give him an answer today and I'm nowhere near a dealership where i could go and measure them. I also trust the people on this forum much better then some kid working at the dealership who would probably make up an answer just to get me off the phone. And I need to get it right.....paint is forever. Thanks in advance for any help.

Sport stripes are approx 5 inches wide with a 1 inch gap. Way to thin for my taste

I would go 6.5 inch wide with a 1.5 inch gap. Not much difference but it looks a lot better

See some of the stripes I've installed: http://motoringdesigns.net

It is probably too late now, but you really ought to consider vinyl tape stripes - most folks use those. They look great, last a long time, come in any color you want, are reasonably priced, available from several vendors (including some excellent vendors here on the NAM site), and allow you the flexibility to change your mind frequently, if so desired. You're right, paint does tend to be forever!

You should cut some paper and tape it down to get an idea of how much gap and width you like the best. And compare it from a distance or it might look like one stripe (like mine). Once you paint it, it isn't going to be changed.

My stripes (not factory) are 6.5 inches with a 0.5 inch gap.
