Stripes after ClearBra?

I already have the ClearBra on my hood. If I want to add stripes, do they go over the ClearBra, or does it have to be cut away to put on the stripes? Anyone had experience with this?

Good question....my research on this subject discovered that it can actually be done either way (ie stripes on top of clear bra OR clear bra on top of stripes) The wisdom of CB over stripes is that if there is any damage to CB that the stripe is potentially unaffected. The thought is that the cause of damage is less likely to reach the striping material, and damage to CB less visably noticeable than damage to stripe. Obviously the vice versa would be the same. I think the advantage of stripes over clear bra is that the stripe material (unless custom made) is much less expensive to buy an easier to replace than the CB material. I'd say if you want stripes go for it, but just buy a bit of extra material in case you need to repair the stripe.

Put your striped over your bra. If you decided down the road you want to change or remove your stripes, its much cheaper to replace the stripes then the bra.

Also, if you have CB over stripes, dirt will eventually find its way between the gap of the CB over the stripes edges and form a brownish stain. Doesn't bug me since you only really notice it if you're up close and actually paying attention to it but people who are OCD about dirt and stuff will probably pull hair over this.

My real concern is that now that I have paid for the ClearBra, I would have to undo part of it to put on the stripes, which are a much cheaper option. I rushed to put on the bra to protect the car, but now want to spice up the look a bit. Thinking about a wide stripe up the center in white against the Astro Black then pick it up again on the back doors.

The car is pretty dark. The previous owner opted for Astro Black, then had the rear painted to match with tinted windows. The interior is all black (headliner, dash, piano black, seats). Needs some color, in my opinion. I've ordered Wet Okoles in red and white hibiscus.
