So far my favorite is my rear seat delete with space for a space saver spare tire underneath.

The hardware for the spare is on back-order from minimania, but I'll post finished pics when I get it in.

I bought it for $700 from the Market from NAM pre-painted. It was about another $280 for shipping and paypal fees. About $980 at the end. Me and my pals installed it so no charge there.

Normally you can buy this kit primed at Morristown MINI for about $1100 before shipping, painting and installation. I got quite a steal.

Well since we are talking about interior/exterior mods, I would have to pick my headlights. Joey modded, chrome rings painted body color, and lamin-x film on the lenses. I like the whole effect, dark, yet shiny, and by going body color on the chrome rings it changes the shape of the lights a bit.

Now I have always wondered. Mainly because I want to do it... Doesn't covering your headlights with a dark tint make less light come out??? You sure would think so, right?

Do your headlight rings get rock chips in them? Or did you put something over them?

Thanks! Sorry, I won't be making any more. It's not very difficult to do if you've worked with fiberglass before, give it a shot.

Regarding the Lamin-x, even though it's the lighter of the two they offer, it does hurt the light output. But, the car is not my daily driver, and hardly gets driven at night. That being said, I think with the xenons it still puts out more light than my 1999 Honda Civic, it's really not too bad.

Regarding the painted rings, no rock chips. It's funny because other people told me they would chip, but I have put at least 15k miles on the car since they were done, so far so good. I painted them myself. Sanded down, then three coats of primer, followed with some wet sanding. Then three coats of paint from Minspeed, and finished with three coats of clear.

I think that every mod was my favorite mod after it was completed.

Those with lasting impressions:
camber plates
polyurethane control arm bushings
hawk ceramic pads (and all my brake mods actually)
