NOTE: Just so everyone knows, these are not the gauges that we are getting, all these videos demonstrate is the difference between with stepper motors and without. Just wanted to be clear to avoid confusion.
I've never replaced an oil pump due to wear or seen an oil pressure problem on a car that received any sort of regular maintenance.
Jinxed myself there, installed a 'reconditioned' oil pump yesterday with a stuck pressure relief valve, the oil filter ballooned out before the seal popped dumping 4qts on the ground. I would have LOVED an oil pressure gauge during that test run-in. Still extremely rare.
Given that my SW boost gauge just stopped working yesterday, I am a little more anxious today.
SRTech, get Marshall to stop stalling and at least deliver some final pricing per gauge such that we can make final selections. You will not have an accurate tally until we know how much they cost. Final pricing will ultimately determine participation.
They are still waiting on the face supplier. I will call again today for an eta. Ballpark for the mechanical vac/boost should be around $55 unless what they've said to me changes. The mounting and adapters will probably cost more than the gauges.
Holy Crap, how long does it take? Does the face supplier need to borrow my old K7 laptop or something to finish the job. Do they use computers at all? The changes we are talking about for the 'MINI look' gauges should take a few minutes, not a few months. We are not talkin' rocket surgery here.

Thanks for the ballpark on the $$.
Welcome to the world of manufacturing. Getting anyone to do anything at all the first time, and then correctly, and then not changing something, is the problem. Follow-up over and over is the order of the day.
Unfortunately, I am well aware of your predicament and limited voice with the face guy. And make sure they know that just cause we want it done, does not mean we want it done at any price.
Please keep pushing for us...................thanks.
We like to do whatever we can to improve on any parts. Where is a more preferable spot for the mounting point, on either one of those brackets?
I'll let you know after I get around to mounting my adapter. At this point, I'm not in any hurry to do that because the gauges are not yet forthcoming from Marshall.
I have an engineering drawing with tentative dimensions. It looks like the legs of the "A" on the double sided bracket need to be bent downward some, and that might also require lengthening the legs a little. The idea is to mount the double gauge cup (at least the one on the right side) so that there is minimal vignetting of the A/C vent by the gauges and both gauges are easily visible within the steering wheel rim.
My laptop is still available if they face guy is having trouble with fonts.
Undoubtedly, the issue with the face guy is one of priority, if this job with customer Marshall was a high enough priority it would be done by now. All we can do is wait, and I hate doing that.
Thanks for the update, but please provide good news next time.

It's amazing in this economy that people aren't jumping all over new business. I guess some companies are doing too well to worry about customer service.
