I just heard back from Paul (Marshall) and he said they will not be able to supply a 20 psi boost gauge. He indicated that a 15 psi gauge might be possible, however a very large order would be required to move this forward.

Since many modified MINI's exceed 15 psi on max boost, I'm not sure how many people would be interested.

Speaking from my own experience with the Marshall boost gauge, I don't find the 30 psi max to be a problem. Of course it would be nice to have it max out at 20 psi, but it still provides useful information.

I am also quite interested in these gauges...
I hope that Marshall will offer a more complete line of them though as I have the lower gauge package from Mini...

Thanks for the update, 20 would be optimal, but we sure can live with 30.

I spoke with Paul (Marshall) on Thursday (6/4) and he still was waiting for the dial face maker to complete their work. He did not give me an ETA at this time.

Can we get a list going on people that are interested and what style gauges? This might be helpful to Paul and prepare him on how many gauges he'll be shipping. Just a suggestion...

Here's mine:
silver boost gauge with chrome trim

Silver face with chrome trim ring.
- Oil Pressure (electric)
- Oil Temp (electric)
- Vac/Boost (mechanical)

Ultimately the final pricing is critical in determining participation.

+1. I say lets wait for Marshall to see what is actually going to be available. Are they going to make electrical stepper motor gauges? Are they going to even make an electrical vac/boost gauge? They know that we are here

OK everyone, time to let the cat out of the bag so to speak. I have been in touch with fingershooter, and with Marshall to try to get this going. They have both been very responsive. The bottleneck right now is NAM. I have tried to PM someone to find out if they will allow a user organized group buy thread to exist here. The rules governing a group buy indicates that the vendor must be a member and set up and run the group buy. I am trying to see if they will allow a member to act as an intermediary but so far no response. Hard to garner interest if the whole idea of a group buy isnt even possible. Stay tuned, as I find out some solid information I will be happy to pass it along.

Just curious if these kits will work with the R57 gauges. I heard about a "G-Force" gauge for turns, and I love that idea, but I'm not sure anyone's added gauges to the new dash yet. :-)

I'll be buying direct, having to deal with a middle man just isn't worth the small savings, or any extra wait time
& Paul did confirm that the electric boost gauge will be available

I got an email from Paul (Marshall) on Friday and he indicated that he had not heard from the dial maker and would be following up with them on Wednesday (6/24). So hopefully he will get an answer from them then. As soon as I know I will post it here. Additionally, as soon as I get the new gauges I will be posting pictures as well.

Shane

So, can we do a group buy? And what kind of prices are we talking about here?

I am working with Marshall on a group buy. I am also a CravenSpeed dealer so I may be able to offer a better price on their gauge cups and mounts depending on response. I should be able to do 20% off MSRP on the gauges if I have 10 people buy 2 gauges each. If I get more people, I may be able to do even better. The price on the stepper motor gauges is not set yet, but they should be available when the MINI SCX are ready. PM me if you are interested.

Steve
