I was able to take some snap shots of one of our customers cars this past weekend and thought you may like some different views. This is the first production piece and the pipe line is slowly filing as we speak .He is putting the front splitter on later this week and I will try to grab some shots of that shortly . Visually it will be the same for the R-53 as it is on this R-56. The angle of the shots makes it appear larger than those originally shown but they are actually identical to the unit on the yellow R-56 shown earlier in the thread. Again let me say it is certainly not for everyone , only those that requested it

I dont think the lighting in the photos do the wing any justice....

Are the side plates powder coated just like the M7 STB by chance ? If so, wonder what this wing would look like powder coated in MINI OEM Colors?

I think it is the combination of my less than $100 camera and the harsh 7:30 am light that is working against me. In person the wing seems to be a crowd pleas-er

The end plates are powder coated and of course could be re done by the buyers to their specs.

Saw Pete's video, but only close up photos seem to be available.

Anyone else have any pics of the wing installed on their MINI ?
Would love to see some more photos before shelling out 600-grand.

Angles from front and back ect from varying at distances would be nice.

Hey TRAK....Buddy...I finally have someone who is going to build me my moonroof replacement. The composite guys from work are going to do a 4-layer aviation-grade CF panel with a honeycomb center...secured down with aviation-grade cam locks...shhhhhh.....I might have them make u one... They said they will definitely do mine and if there is a market for it they will do others. They also said I could give them parts to mold and they will turn out whatever.....Cooper gas covers.....whatever....

C-Wing Update - Development Change ?

R53 M7 Challenge Wing-bump-.jpg

Any updates for us on your C-Wing Randy ?

Looks like instead of the base model having an upper aluminum plate, it is made of fiberglass now

Must be lighter ?

For the foreseeable future that will be the case , fiberglass rather than aluminum.

We have been discussing it for a few weeks now over in the R-56 section as that was the first version we completed but as we come nearer to actually have the item for the R-53 it will be best to cover it here. We should be able to deliver the first pieces in 4 to 6 weeks . We will have both fibreglass / aluminum versions as well as the upgraded carbon fiber pieces so a varitey of price points will be covered. Pricing will be posted as soon as it is available. These pictures are of the prototype pieces being test fit yesterday. The next step is the mold maker and then on to production. I will post updates as they become available .
