You can order the Aero kit Bumper and it comes with everything you need. All you need to do is relocate the fog lights (if you have them) and the mount for those already has the marks for your new holes, and then grind the bumper carrier down a bit so the turn blinkers fit, and then swap everything over. Installantion of it is pretty easy.

A MCS bumper will also fit. A friend of mine did it, but said a little fabrication was involved. i can't remember what he did exactly; maybe someone else will chime in.

I suffered from having a boring looking R50 as well. I got an R53 front bumper cover and rigged the aero kit grille. Here's a pic
Whoops there's my mom too, she didn't come with the aero grille though

Either an R53 or Aero bumper will fit with no modifications needed. I did the R53 swap and it took about 30 minutes for me. I've had the bumper off a few times before though. I do have to make a small modification though to allow my running light to fit on the driver's side, but I can't imagine that would always be the case.

This is the only pic that I have and I still have to install the grill.

bringing this thread back because I tried this today and hit a snag.

I have a '04 R50 and I am attempting to put a R53 front bumper cover on it. I don't really know what's in the way - the top and sides line up fine but the lower part of the bumper is about 2-3 inches too far forward to attach. This is in addition to the foglights not being in the right place for the holes in the R53 front cover. My only thought is that the bumper core is different between R50 and R53 - I checked this on RealOEM and they list the same part number for bumper cores for R50 and R53 (though on the R50 it has a note "From: 07/2004" - my car is a 06/04 build date).

Any ideas how to make it fit?

Do you mean the plastic panel which runs from just behind the front bumper a couple inches rearward? If so, no - the lower section of the bumper sits about 2-3 inches too far forward (like it won't go far enough back to attach to the vehicle) and doesn't even touch that panel.

After reading this I'm thinking it's the foglights in the way: http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...on-cooper.html

I'll have to retry that next weekend (next time I'll have a couple hours to kill).
