I ordered my MCS with bonnet stripes, but may eventually want to remove them and add custom stripes/graphics.
Can they be easily removed? Does removing them cause damage to the underlying clearcoat/paint?

Using heat, like a hairdryer, the decals should come off with no damage. However, you don't want to wait a long time to do it as the paint will start getting sun faded and you'll end up with 2 lines of factory fresh color where the stripes were.

Yep, I had a '93 Dodge Dakota that came with sport tape stripes along the sides. I used a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive and Goo Gone to remove any remaining adhesive. It worked beautifully, but the paint underneath was a decicedly brighter shade of white than the surrounding paint.

Stripes

My car had its 2 year birthday this month and as a celebration I removed the stripes. I am in Phoenix and sometimes have temperatures in excess of 115 degrees....after two years.....stripes came off.....threw down a nice waxing.....never could tell they were ever there!
