Aero kit, Body color or CF Bonnet color

This goes under the you get what you promise catagory... I told my son if he received a Hockey Scholarship I would let him put CF Bonnet and rear hatch. Well he kept his end of the bargin and now he wants to add a aero kit as well, however, our MCS is Chili Red and he wants to paint the aero kit front and rear bumpers, and side skirts Black to match the CF. Any thoughts out there. Also, if anyone has some sort of illistrator and could do a quick mock-up I sure would appreciate it so I could show him what it would look like.

Or you could have the kit and bumpers covered in carbon.

I also think it would look better with the aero kit the same color as the body or maybe with certain accents on the kit painted in black like the fog light cut-outs. I've seen the red one above, I wish there were pics of the front of that car.

i dont think it would look good... if your going to paint the areo kit black.. just keep the non areo kit... i think that woul dbe a waste of money.
it looks to good body color and the areo kit has black trip so that woul dbe enough to match the carbonfiber. paint wont match it will just look unpainted probably.

I personally don't like that red car at all... I think the bonnet looks better with just the stripes or the center piece left in CF (like Tuls, Kalbone) and what if you paint the bumpers body color and have the arches on the car overlayed in real CF to match the bonnet/boot. That could give the stock Aerokit look from the distance but the detail from up close...

yeah, an all black aero kit would just look messy. I personally think even all CF bonnet and hatch dosnt look that great, it ruins the lines and curves of the mini design and makes it look all broken up.

On a Chili car, I would paint the CF pieces and leave a stripe or something. That way people still know you have CF. For me, I would paint the whole thing so people did not know I had CF. That or do a tinted clearcoat so it "hides" the CF behind the paint, but you can still see the weave

Yeah it just looks too busy for my tastes, If stripes aren't wanted then the best bet would be what Chris suggested with the "tint" on the CF.

I still think overlaying the arches and such would look pretty badass accompanied with CF mirrors and the bonnet/hatch painted accordingly...

a little different combo on my car, but here is what i did....car is Royal Grey, spats and all of aero kit were painted body color. two "viper" stripes were left clear over CF with the rest painted body color. i'll post some pics when it stops raining and i can wash the car.

ps. the fit of the VIS bonnet is not great. leaving it all CF allows no addition of material to close gaps (without looking stupid). i was going to get the CF boot, but the potential fitment issues dissuaded me. please let me know how this part fits.

I'm liking the painting the Bonnet and Boot with the CF left in the middle also. I'm trying to give him all options so he can make an informed decision that will look "right". As for the comment about us paying for it, My son has played Hockey since the age of 4 leaving "Sweat, Blood, and Broken Bones" on the ice many times. He's basically had a full time job since the age of 14 travelling all over the U.S. playing national tournaments and being invited to USA Hockey National Development camps as well as keeping a solid 3.5 GPA This year (11th grade).. So guess what! I'm more than happy to pay the $3-4k for what he's accomplished...Plus he's saving me the 80-100k in college tuition I would have to pay...

^glad he has accomplished such feats! What college will he be playing for? I am a huge fan of hockey and go to all the home games at Bowling Green State University( I know we are not some big time school), but it's a blast.
Make sure to get him a set of CraftSquare Mirrors too

The CF Bonnet, Hatch and Fenders are in transit and the Custom Painted Ronal wheels will be delivered this coming Monday... I'll Post pictures of the Wheels next week. As a side note my son was invited to a prospects camp 3 weeks ago and was approached by several D1 schools( Boston College, RPI,Princeton to name a few) as well as 3 NHL teams inquiring his commitment level to certain D1 programs... It was all to overwhelming for me as a parent but my son seemed to finally see all of his hard work coming to fruition.
