MINI Mobile Assistance Roof Rack

I was at my Mini dealer today getting some touch up paint and I saw one of these!

It’s not the Mini that got me excited; it was the roof rack/basket. I have never seen this roof rack/basket before. Anyone know details on it? Any info will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Those were the vehicles used in the MINI Takes the States event in 2006. They carried spare parts, tires, etc. to anyone who needed them along the way. You might try contacting MINIUSA directly and ask about the baskets...
