I removed some from my former BMW using Goof-Off and cotton *****. That worked well and the visor is of the same material on the MINI's. The only thing that looked off is the yellow color had bled to the vinyl and it was shinier where the sticker had been. Otherwise it looked good and was not noticeable unless you knew what to look for.

B'laster makes a decal and sticker remover that worked perfect for me. Sprayed some on a towel and soaked the stickers for a minute then the sticker started curling up. Peeled it off and Bob's yer uncle.

I got some orange oil cleaner in Canada and I have removed various sticky things with it. On my old Del Sol I have some cheap bumper stickers and the orange oil and elbow grease got all of the stickum off no problem.

Plus it is natural, not highly toxic and it smells nice!

I clean a lot around my house with it diluted in a spray bottle, works great!

I decided to give it a try with the old method. So I went to home depot to grab a bottle of acetone. I took the visors out of the car, soaked a rag in the acetone, let it sit on the sticker for a minute and then began peeling it off. I cleaned up the visor with the acetone soaked rag, then again with some water with a little bit of Z7 in it to get the acetone off. Viola... Stickers gone! Just for fun, I put a little Black Wow on one of the visors to see how it did.

Isn't there a NAM rule stating all posting about mods must include pictures?

Please adhere to the rules...

I tried to, but taking a picture of sticker missing from a black visor on a black headliner in the dark just yields a black frame... go figure.

I'll see what I can do when I get a min or two in the daylight.

Ok, we'll let you slide this time.

Did it leave any mark or change the texture of the visor surface? I think I want to take mine off. They match the yellow/black interior though...

The smooth area was still textured like the rest of the vinyl however it had a shine and smoothness to it as compared to the rest of the visor which is mat or flat in appearance.

I taped off around the stickers and it worked out well for the first visor but on the second I just took my time and didn't tape off and it came out the same. Didn't even take the visors out of the car to do them, ~10 minutes a visor.

Okay, I finally got around to posting a photo of my anthracite visors with the warning labels removed. Enjoy!

Just removed my stickers from my tan headliner visors using cheap isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol, a few microfiber rags and some patience. After rubbing the alcohol into the sticker for around 5 minutes it started coming off, and was completely off in 15 (per visor).

Denaturated alcohol is the way to go. Just did it on my convertible. Takes a couple of minutes, leaves no "goopy" residue, just a very faint outline. 1000% better

This whole thread makes me pause to reflect on when America became a place where people are forced to accept those stupid warning labels.

BTW, just ordered stickers.

Nice job. I always wonder which way to put those stickers. Right side up when you are in the car or right side up when you're outside. I think the outside view right side up looks the best!

I did this in my BMW E46 '01 330Ci using GooGone. I wiped it over the sticker with a rag and in a very short time, it peeled right off. The vinyl sagged a bit at that point, but once the GooGone evaporated it tightened back up and was perfect. I didn't bother on my '05 MCS but might do it on my '09 MCS. It's a lease, but they probably won't notice or care.

If I ordered the MINI Wings in vinyl, how hard would it be to cut out the MINI logo and paste that on the visor? I don't think I'd like a black square up there. Is it possible to do neatly?

are you covering the original sticker or removing it?

if you cut the MINI logo/wings out you wont be able to cover the original sticker there. and if you remove the sticker then why even put the MINI sticker?

Thanks, I just ordered a set of MINI wing with Union Jack background for Hendrix! I'm considering a set of Toddsmods Union Jacks for the doors.

I like the full Union jack better than Aesthetic Creations half jack.

I have not bought any mods for a while and it feels quite good.
