Interior/Exterior Removing the visor warning lables...
#26
I removed some from my former BMW using Goof-Off and cotton *****. That worked well and the visor is of the same material on the MINI's. The only thing that looked off is the yellow color had bled to the vinyl and it was shinier where the sticker had been. Otherwise it looked good and was not noticeable unless you knew what to look for.

I got some orange oil cleaner in Canada and I have removed various sticky things with it. On my old Del Sol I have some cheap bumper stickers and the orange oil and elbow grease got all of the stickum off no problem.
Plus it is natural, not highly toxic and it smells nice!
I clean a lot around my house with it diluted in a spray bottle, works great!

I decided to give it a try with the old method. So I went to home depot to grab a bottle of acetone. I took the visors out of the car, soaked a rag in the acetone, let it sit on the sticker for a minute and then began peeling it off. I cleaned up the visor with the acetone soaked rag, then again with some water with a little bit of Z7 in it to get the acetone off. Viola... Stickers gone! Just for fun, I put a little Black Wow on one of the visors to see how it did.

I'll see what I can do when I get a min or two in the daylight.

Did it leave any mark or change the texture of the visor surface? I think I want to take mine off. They match the yellow/black interior though...

Any one have photos of the JCW logo stickers?
AC is Aesthetic Creations, one of the vendors here on NAM. They make (among other things) vinyl stickers to cover the warning labels on the visors.

I have the black MINI wings. They look good.

The smooth area was still textured like the rest of the vinyl however it had a shine and smoothness to it as compared to the rest of the visor which is mat or flat in appearance.
I taped off around the stickers and it worked out well for the first visor but on the second I just took my time and didn't tape off and it came out the same. Didn't even take the visors out of the car to do them, ~10 minutes a visor.

I did this in my BMW E46 '01 330Ci using GooGone. I wiped it over the sticker with a rag and in a very short time, it peeled right off. The vinyl sagged a bit at that point, but once the GooGone evaporated it tightened back up and was perfect. I didn't bother on my '05 MCS but might do it on my '09 MCS. It's a lease, but they probably won't notice or care.

if you cut the MINI logo/wings out you wont be able to cover the original sticker there. and if you remove the sticker then why even put the MINI sticker?
