Well, here it comes… announcing the final (lame duck) meeting presided over by the current HMMS board of officers and the introduction of their replacements. The passing of the baton, or torch!
So come on out to Uptown Park on Saturday, May 2nd for the May monthly meeting of the Houston MINI Motoring Society. If you like, get there as early as 8:30 AM to check out the Cars & Coffee gathering of sports cars and classics. Visit with their owners. Enjoy a Starbucks beverage (or bring your own) and visit with other MINI early arrivers. We usually park at the east end of the south parking area.
Our meeting will be in Café Express, in the side room on the south side of the restaurant (if it has not been reserved by another group). We hope to start the meeting at 11:00 AM so please plan to arrive there by 10:45 AM, to place your food order and find a seat.

New members and visitors will be heartily welcomed! Show and Tell - tell us about your latest MINI, or MINI stuff; report on Trouble-Shooting and, of course, recent MINI activities you’ve attended since last month’s meeting. Upcoming events will be discussed.
The HMMS election results will be officially announced and the new officers introduced. So this will be a great opportunity to bring any concerns, suggestions, and new ideas for club events, swag, etc.
Dues for 2009 may be paid (see outgoing Treasurer Bob). Also see Bob for HMMS window stickers, and see outgoing VP John for T-shirts and spotter cards. And please don’t forget to bring your aluminum can pull tabs for Ronald McDonald House.
Mark your calendars...it's less than two weeks from today! Come check out the usually fine assortment of exotic cars, and then join us for our early lunch meeting!
This will be my first meeting, if I can make it. I'm assuming kids are welcomed?

Now, on to your autocross question...
Anyone can come and spectate for free. No charge for admission, but you do have to sign two waivers: one for the BMWCCA club and one for the Police Academy, and I think they also have one for children.
No pets, guns, alcohol or drugs on the premises.
We'll be happy to answer any questions you have about it before or after our May 2 meeting or here at any time.
the "point" is that we will have to result to knife fights, all the pun was intended.
hope to see you at the meeting, as for myself, i'll be there bright and early to see all the cool cars.
