MINI Club of The Woodlands (MCOW) has scheduled another fun drive on Saturday, January 31st. We'll start at the MINI of The Woodlands dealership on the I-45 southbound feeder road. Use exit 79 for SH 242.
Please plan to be there by 10:00 AM. We will distribute route instructions, have a brief drivers’ meeting and hope to be on the road by about 10:30AM
We’ll be heading northeast to a country BBQ restaurant suggested by one of our members for a lunch stop. Round trip on some delightful roads should be no more than about 165 miles. Our drive coordinator has promised sunroof weather.
Hope to see you there! --If you are coming, please RSVP on this thread so we have an approximate MINI count. We will probably try to line up in front of the MINI Showroom (I-45 side of bldg). If you have one, please bring your FRS radio.
As is our custom, we accept food donations to the red barrel at Krogers as a voluntary “entry fee”. You may skip this, or do it on your own, or leave your donation with one of the club officers at the end of the drive, and we will put it in the barrel for you.
To get to the MINI of The Woodlands dealership from the north, use I-45 exit 79 southbound and after crossing SH 242, proceed south on the feeder road about ½ mile to the BMW/MINI dealership. Coming from the south, take I-45 northbound to exit 79. Make a U-turn under I-45 at SH 242, and run down the southbound feeder road, as noted above.
Well, I guess we're the only ones RSVP-ing. Just decided today to drive over from the Beaumont area to join you if you'll have us! We'll be in Monty, a brg '05 convertible. We usually only get to drive with other minis when we go to Colorado. See you tomorrow!
