By member’s agreement, we’re going back to Café Express (1101 Uptown Park Blvd, Houston 77056, link ) for our January 2009 monthly meeting. Please plan to arrive by 10:45 AM so we can get our meeting underway by 11:00AM.
Early birds may motor over early for “Cars & Coffee” which normally meets near the south end in Uptown Park from about 8:30 am on the first Saturday of the month. Have a Starbucks and enjoy the exotics! If you get there early, you may want to park as a group on the east side of the parking lot, as we did in November and December.
Café Express has a side room (as you come in from the south entrance) that will comfortably accommodate us (provided no other group is using it ). We'll be opening the place, and because ordering and seating is self-service, we can try to grab that room for our meeting.
Show and Tell us about your holiday MINI gifts, report on Trouble-Shooting and recent MINI activities you’ve attended, and hear announcements of upcoming events. Dues for 2009 may be paid, $25 (see Treasurer Bob). Club T-shirts may be purchased, $15 (See VP John). Spotter cards will be available. Please also bring your concerns, suggestions, and new ideas for club events, swag, etc. Start looking at your fellow Miniacs as potential nominees for HMMS offices, and don’t be shy about making your own “political ambitions” known! Finally, don’t forget to bring your aluminum can pull tabs for Ronald McDonald House.
It's less than two weeks from today! Come check out the fine assortment of exotic cars, have a coffee or other beverage of your choice, and then join us for our early lunch meeting!
Our HMMS meetings are usually the first Saturday of the month, and we post an announcement of the meeting time and location a week or two in advance.
For February our meeting is planned for February 7th and we are again planning to return to Cafe Express in Uptown Park off Post Oak Blvd at 10:45am. There is a link to the restaurant with map in the announcement at the beginning of this thread.
If you like to look at Ferraris, Ford GTs, Porsches, Vipers, Lambos, etc., you can get there early and check them out at Cars & Coffee, which gets together at the southern end of the parking lot on the same first Saturday.
