HMMS April Monthly Meeting and Bluebonnet Wild Flower Fun Run!

Bluebonnets are emerging and should be in bloom for our Bluebonnet Wild Flower Fun Run, to be held immediately following our HMMS Monthly Meeting on Saturday, April 5th! So mark your calendar and set your Garmin, TomTom, whatever, and come out early and join us for our April breakfast meeting at:

La Madeleine Restaurant
10001 Westheimer Rd (approx 0.6 miles inside Beltway 8)
Suite 2123
Houston 77042
713 266 7686
link with menu and map (Carillon): http://www.lamadeleine.com/
We have reserved the private room called “the Bedroom”

HMMS members, non-members and out of town visitors are most welcome. Plenty of MINI parking!

Please plan to arrive at La Madeleine by 9:00 am - one hour earlier than usual - enjoy a French breakfast over a shortened meeting agenda, with a focus on HMMS officers’ nominations. We are challenging our President (Andy) to complete the agenda topics, including a raffle of the great prizes generously donated by Momentum MINI at our January meeting by 10:00 am!

To be eligible to participate in the raffle, as well as to nominate, to second or to be on the ballot, Members must have paid their 2008 dues.

Our Treasurer (Bob) will be accepting 2008 dues payments. Please have cash or checks made out for $25 payable to HMMS. If at all possible, please take care of dues before the meeting opens.

Raffle tickets will be given out from the officers’ table to Members in good standing before the meeting and immediately after conclusion of the other agenda topics. Allowing for last minute dues payments, the raffle will follow as soon thereafter as possible.

Following the raffle, we will adjourn the monthly meeting and have a Fun Run drivers’ meeting, collect signed waivers, and hope to be on the road to the Bluebonnets by 10:30 am (10:45 latest)!

Our President and his Navigator (Linda) have put together a great drive of about 200 miles, including a picnic lunch at “Washington on the Brazos” State Park. Please plan to pack a lunch for you and your crew! More if you’d like to share! The return route is via Chappell Hill and there are several early return options if you don’t want to do the whole drive. Besides a picnic lunch, please bring your camera and FRS radio, if you have one. (There may be extras available to borrow at the drivers’ meeting)

Our VP (John) will have a very limited supply of HMMS T-shirts and Spotter Cards available. (If you would like to have new T-shirts to wear on the Fun Run, please post your order below, or PM John (JCScooper), to ensure that it can be filled at the meeting. $15 short sleeve/$18 long sleeve.)

And please don’t forget to continue collecting and bringing your aluminum can pull tabs for Dillepa!

Hope to see ya’ll at La Madeleine’s at 9:00 am on Saturday, April 5th!
