Not sure since I'm not down in the Clear Lake area myself, but you may want to check the Houston forums on MetroplexMINI.org (the Dallas club's site that shares its forums with HMMS). There's a sightings forum.
Ron -- Looking forward to meeting you Saturday at the HMMS meeting --
I will not be able to make to Clear Lake Saturday as I a neice with a 1st Birthday party commitment.

MINI Clear Lake is located at 300 Gulf Frwy South; League City, TX 77573 around the Exit # 23.
They are having a MINI welcoming of sorts on Saturday, July 10th from 11 am to 3 PM. Food and Music. MINIFunDrives will be there at 12:30.
Since I have never gotten the warm fuzzies from services at Momentum, I am going to try out Clear Lake MINI next Saturday for my second scheduled service/oil change. The store looks great, I hope they perform as well.
I was told an oil change at clearlake was like 75bucks and 200 at momentum. They just did my lower control arm bushings. I had great service. Tell tim that cole sent you

Great service experience this past Saturday at Clear Lake. Service advisor Lance was courteous, attentive, and helpful. I waited the two hours while my second scheduled service was done, spent the time walking to breakfast near the dealer, then shooting the breeze with a MA and the GM when I got back. Highly recommended.
I'm in the clear lake area. Right on clear lake. I drive my MINION1 all around the lake. If anyone is interested in driving events. HMMS.org and MINIFUNDRIVES are always fun. 2 Events already scheduled for the Beginning of September.

Did you get the rear main seal sorted out? I was the one with the dark silver 07 when you went to mini of clear lake a few weeks back. I ended up doing the MAP thermostat housing repair myself.

wow haven't looked at this thread in a long time.
as it turned out my rear main was fine, when i finally got the tranny of the engine i found the clutch housing full of metal shavings.
a little peice of steel broke off of the throwout bearing, and spun around. it beat up the clutch and took out three fins in aluminum trans housing. then all of that spinning metal chewed two tiny holes in the transmission housing itself causing all of my transmission fluid to leak out. so i bought a new OEM clutch and welded the holes up( literally pinhole sized),and as i put it all back together the slave cylinder, and a wheel speed sensor both decided to die at the same time for no reason....
then the day after i got the whole car back together, i drove it to UofH for the first day of class. and on my way out out of the parking lot the harmonic balancer decided to split into two peices.
but all is good now, she is running strong, and i have a alta 15% pulley in the mail.
anyone have a pulley puller i can borrow?
