My old Z1s were a blast to drive on a course in the cold. Did you know you can drift a stock MINI S?
Say a funny thing happened to me today - a set of new ZIIs showed up on my porch. I wonder how that happened? But there is "mixed precipitation" in the forecast. Might not be a good time to try them out.
Charlie - hope you have some fun
But how do you heal and toe in Bean boots

The forecast has taken a distinctly unfortunate turn - "heavy rain", "100% probability", "NNE winds 15-20", "32-38 degrees".
Sick b*stard that I am I still look forward to it (where is my foul weather gear?).
The Bean boots come off and the driving shoes go on...
Anyone that wusses out can see the photos of Kim-Soo driving the kart in that mess! She will have a puddle in her lap, and I will have a defroster - it makes me feel guilty already.
Cheers,
Charlie

Given the weather at Sepang International, I've decided to watch them drown instead, and if that is not enough I could always pour a bucket of cold water over my head.
That should do it.
Next event is April 19th, so life may continue despite this setback.
Cheers,
Charlie

lol! i've been in a few cities in India, including Mumbai - omg, the "cab" rides there are terrifying! No turn signals used, that's what horns are for! No lanes either... cows wandering everywhere.. ghettos next to gorgeous hotels (slightly exaggerated) Hope I go back some time - what an amazing country.

I showed up at the event with an expired drivers license.
Words just fail.
As posted on the NER forums:
My heartfelt, embarrassed, and most sincere apologies to Barbara, Neil and anyone else who was witness to my showing up this morning with an expired license. I was so upset with myself that I was rude, which only made things worse.
Spending 30 minutes with the Mass RMV site using a 3" screen only to be declined an online renewal because my picture was too old was just the last straw.
My further apologies to you Paul, because my car is not there and so you have no ride.
My further apologies to you Jeff, because the help I intended for the Novice program cannot occur.
And finally, my apologies to the entire group, because I believe I was volunteered to write Pit Talk articles this year (behind my back), and I will not have anything to offer for this event.
I really do not recall the last time I was so disappointed with myself.
I did make it home without being arrested.

And we both manage this without being arrested. Have a Happy Easter As a consolation you may have the ears off the nearest chocolate Easter bunny. I expect they are your favorites.

Folks, y'all eased my day and I thank you. My co-workers have forgiven me too bless their kind hearts. Paul now has a 9 point lead on this year's title which is just. Oi vey what a silly bugger!
And now it is a beautiful sunny Easter Sunday and the car is all shined up, tweaked, and whining in the garage, and I dare not drive it! In the same whiny vein I suspect the Registry will be closed Monday.
Perhaps the rebroadcast of the Chinese Grand Prix will be a great victory for Lewis (do NOT tell me before 4 pm please, I need the ignorance for suspense) we shall see.
I wish you all a very Happy Easter, and safe motoring if you are traveling about.
All the best,
Charlie
