So i am looking to swapped out the stock rims on the GP with the ones from WMW. My question will i have issues getting a tire thats 225/40/18

The wheel is Weight: 18.8 lbs
Lug Opening: 14mm Conical Seat
Size: 18x7.5
Offset: +45 mm
Bolt Pattern 4-100mm

Will i see any issues running this wheel and tire combo?

Lots of tire choices in 225/40-18 but that size is really "too tall" for the MINI whose stock size is 205/40-18.

If you're set on 225 width, 225/35-18 would be the appropriate size, but tire choice is very limited.

215/40-18 would be the most appropriate plus-size.

 

The stock GP2 rim is 7.5 x 17. I have just fitted 225/45 x 17 Pilot Sport A/S 3 to mine with very pleasing results. I would think an 18" rim with a 225 could be very close - the lower the side wall the harsher the ride. Ok if you drive on a smooth surface but where do you find them in the USA !!
