O2 sensor GP and 06 MCS

Hi. I have a GP and an 06 MCS.

I had a SEL on the 06 recently, O2 sensor related.

GP today lost power, SEL blinked a few times, then stayed solid. My brother was driving the car as I'm at work. I'll check the code tonight but I bet it's O2 sensor related.

I just received the letters in the mail regarding the defective O2 sensors for MY04-06.

Anybody else have this problem?

Just pulled the code.

P0300.

Random/Multiple misfires.

Didn't rain today, wasn't cold, no mods and inspected the wires. everything look clean but tomorrow I will pull the plugs and see if there is any damage.

Hm.

I got the OX Sensor letter but have not had a problem yet with 41,000 miles.

It frustrates me that Mini was not required to perform a recall for this issue since I have seen multiple reports of cars that just stop running due to the OX Sensor failure. I will be pissed if my car stops running and it is due to the OX Sensors that were not recalled. I am 120 miles from the closest dealer so if this happens my car will be out of commission for a week with a long flatbed trip back and forth to the dealer.

I had this issue with my 06 MCS 3 days after I picked it up in Jun 06. My GP I have had no issues at 7345 miles.
