Maybe a silly question, but, can you mount a car seat in a GP

Is there anyway to mount a car seat?

Anyone, I am looking at getting a mini and covet the GP but occasionally will need to transport offspring.

Cheers,

Carl

There is a clip of some sort on the luggage bar - I'd bet it's for attaching a car seat. Wish I knew that at the time of release as I was invited to Monterey for the release but no backseat was a deal killer.

That bar in no way was ever designed to hold the weight of anything let alone your kid
I mean I could yank that ***** out by hand if i wanted to.
It as far as i know dose not attach to anything.
Please dont attach your kid to this.

Really? you can rip that out? I'm in doubt and unimpressed.

Hmm I wonder what the clip is for?

Notice clip on bar - length of screws - number of screws (5)

bar attachment point

Any GP owners know?

Yes you can mount a child seat. The owners manual indicates that the clip on the luggage bar is for that exact purpose. But remember it is only you and one child seat, so if you have more than one chlid ... you get the point.

This is a typical example of incorrect internet information! The attachment point on the bar was designed for a car seat and is in the owners manual. Do you really think MINI would provide this attachment and then make it flimsy?
The attachment of this bar is very sturdy as can be seen from the photo's. I weigh 180 lbs and cannot even make this bar wiggle.
