So, I have read about the trunk slamming issues and am incuring them with my GP.... Anyone have a solution to this issue? I tried some lube, still have the issue....
Thanks GP#0364

You can twist the rubber bumpers to adjust but it probably will not help much. I have the same problem on my GP and I had the same problem on my 2003 MCS. Sometimes it takes multiple slams to get it to close. I played around with the rubber bumbers on my 2003 MCS with no real improvement.

If the bumper (located on the door, not the body) adjustment doesn't work check with your dealer about a TSB to fix this issue. They changed the latch hoop to make it easier to latch for some.
It would be great if there is a TSB that fixes the "GP slam" issue. All the GP owners I know have the same situation I find, which is that it requires a special "firm hand" (or "slam") to close the GP hatch. This is unique to the GP, versus other MCS variations. If anybody has any additional or more current news on this subject, I'd love to know (especially if I need to get it done under the 48K warranty, since I just passed 46K on my GP).
