GP emblem on dash

I have a problem that I need help with. My dash has been changed to Carbon Fiber and the GP in not on the new dash. I have checked with several Mini dealers and the GP is not available. What I need is a good measurement of the size and some good pictures. What I’m going to do is machine one out of aluminum and install it myself. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Huh? Pix?

I haven't seen the GP emblem, but assuming it's anything like our hatch badges, wouldn't some dental floss and patience do the trick?

I suspect that the main reason the emblem is not available is because each one is individually numbered to that specific GP.

Whatever you do, don't sell or throw away your old dash. That badge is truly irreplacable!

Wait, this emblem?

That should be removable with dental floss and patience. Or so it appears...

Yes

Yes that is the emblem. I do not have the old dash to take it off of and in the pictures that i have seen like the one above it does not show the number. Thanks agan for all you time and help.

Aw bummer mate... Don't give up yet though. I'm sure someone can find it. I'll give it a quick whirl. What happened to the OEM dash?

edit: A bit of hunting, and although I didn't find the exact emblem, I found some decent alternatives:

YourEmblem.com <-- Custom make an emblem (as reviewed on MotoringFile)

The other alternative, is to see if Lyle at VinylStyles could help you out with a vinyl. Even though it won't be raised, it'd be better than a naked dash! I tried to break it down for you, but I'm sure someone with better skills in Vectoring images could make a better version for Lyle...

Lastly, you could pick up a JCW badge for the car. That'd go nicely too, and wouldn't be far off. Anyways, hope that maybe some of this helped.

What number is the GP? You might try to contact the original owner, to see if they still have that part. If the GP number is in the owners list, that's one way to try and identify them ...

...exactly. tymco, the photo doesn't show it because it's really small, at the bottom of the big GP... but it's there! Every GP came with a uniquely numbered badge on the dash, so it would be in your best interest to really try hard to locate the original dash, one way or another.

Check to see if you can't order one. I know of one GP owner that ordered another roof number for his and now has a number on both sides. May take awhile to get in but I'd bet it can be ordered. BTW what number GP do you have?

I work at a dealer and have tried and tried to order the special decal on the dash...no luck at all. The roof numbers are MUCH easier to come by for GP owners...
