I believe they will, Most of the factory/JCW 17 and 18 inch wheels will work on the R56 JCW so should work on our GPs as well. There is a kit which includes all 4 corners part number 34110432802 price is around 2800.00. BTW Front rotors 12.44 rear 11.02 inches with new kit.

The parts aren't available to order yet, so very unlikely any pics on a GP. There are plenty of pics of the brakes on the R56 factory JCW. Look in the 2nd gen JCW forum and MotoringFile.

I asked about the 2008 JCW brakes to my Mini dealer for my GP and he said they don't fit... Not sure he's very knowledgeable though...
I'd like to get them as well, so I hope someone knows for sure.

Yeah, dealer guy probably went by R56 does not apply to R53 way of thinking. Theres a couple of GPs on MINI2 forum that did it.

The word I have seen on "OEM wheels that fit the R56 Factory JCW brakes" (disclosure: info & pics lifted from MINI2, esp. the FAQ):

17" R97

17" R104

17" R108

17" R112

17" R114 (no pic found)

18" R113

As I understand it, these are all of the OEM wheels listed on the customer information leaflet that comes with the brake kit. Other OEM wheels are more likely to need spacers to fit (if at all). As for the GP wheels, the one GP owner on MINI2 who test fitted them says they don't fit unless you use a spacer.

dood - save your money - the GP brakes should work well enough. If not, have you tried adding some brake ducts?

Yeah I guess brake ducts would be good and save some cash. But I took the GP to VIR this weekend and did experience brake fade, but most of all they were smoking like crazy after each session, people thought my brakes were on fire. I do have Super Blue fluids and Hawk HPS Plus pads. If it were not for that long straight leading to the hardest brake point I'm sure brakes would have been fried. Then by the time I got around to the Oak Tree they were faded.

That was my post on MINI2 I tried to fit a GP wheel on my 09 JCW and they will not fit without at least a 5mm spacer.

Cool. Wasn't trying to steal credit, just put the info here for people to easily find. NAM names are often not the same as MINI2 names (and elsewhere)
