The Official Pure Silver Owners Club

Is there no Pure Silver Owners Club (PSOC) here on NAM?

Or is it that the PS owners are too busy modding and driving their cars to start another virtual club???

Come on...Where's the luv for the PS owners??? (Maybe this is a great time to start one?)

PS - Yes, I've tried the search feature, the only thread I found that even looked close was the "You know pure silver is the best color" thread.

That would be the one...I believe you'll find that most PS owners tend to want to blend into their surroundings, go seemingly unnoticed, conform to non-conformity, the proverbial wolves in sheep's clothing.

Yes, we're here but without all the badges and bling.

Maybe we should come up with a "low-key less bling" badge for us PS owners?

PS rocks. As far as bling, I even had the dealer leave the JCW badges off. Told him I wanted a stealth MINI!

Pure Silver with a Black roof and mirror caps is a very classy look. Very understated.

I love the look. Plus, it has a very high WAF. :D

I think that you are all crazy. I bought my first and second pure silver because of the bling factor. What is more blingin than silver? OK, gold. But I always buy silver because to me it is classy yet flashier than many other colors, and reminds me of an airlplane/spaceship. Yes, I too am debadged, but wouldnt consider myself very stealth.

Let's hear more opinions for other PS owners: More bling or stealth?

Is MINITOR the only PS owner voting bling? I don't have a real opinion yet because my Mini's still "On-Order"...

No offense taken. To each his own.

I dont understand how it could be seen as stealth though, silver is the shiniest color out there, and to me shiny means bling.

I do agree that it does look a bit classier than other colors though.

vote = "stealth"

IMO, aside from the Baked-Bean Red (Sorry DB!) and Silk Green, Pure Silver is least popular, in essence, "most unique" color out there. (And my friend was trying to talk me into the most popular color of all, Dark Silver).

It's only been 48 hours and I'm already thinking about debadging all "red" from the exterior: the S on the boot... and I'd love to find a side-indicator with a chrome S instead of the red (photoshop example: http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...00/chromes.jpg ).

In short, "stealth rules!" (FWIW)

As a PS owner I like that best

even tho I did not pick the color in the beginning. As for the other colors, there have been times when I admired them all. Especially when:
  • The owner keeps it clean and neat. Even Purple Haze can look real good
  • The MINI has a chrome pack - on some colors, this is all it takes to look fantastic
  • The MINI has unique stripes - the contrast, on certain colors makes it stand out
  • The owner has blacked out everything (on black and DS, this is cool)
  • The owner has added a Union Jack somewhere (especially nice on PW)
  • and so on.
Given the proper perspective, each color has it's merits. But I stand by my claim that NOTHING looks better than PS at night...the reflections on this color are the best of all.

JPS
It looks fantastic in the shade but very washed out in the bright sun...and on cloudy days, it's just about the perfect urban concrete camoflage

This brings up a good question: has anyone seen stats from BMW on how many Mini's were made in each color?

Awesome image of your Mini Msfitoy!

I like the stealth clean look. Although I would have to agree with 'jsouz' that I've admired all the colors at one point or another. When the Mini sparkles, there's no question about the attraction. I'll post pics when I pick her up next week. Can't wait to post pics...

All PS is a good choice Mike. There are a lot of MINI's in my neck of the woods but mine is the only PS/PS I have seen in the almost 2 years I've owned it. Have fun!
