Hi everyone,
I will take #70 for my PW/BlK. I too, think this is the BEST color combo out there and very unique. Funny, when I go on runs, I'm ALWAYS the only PW/BLK in the bunch. Always get compliments on him. That's gotta say something!

iPod

[quote=BoCRon]Salt and Pepper, Congrats! Hope to see you motoring. Which Ipod adaptor are you getting? There is a new one supposed to be out which should show the songs on the HU.
Annette

I got the factory ipod adaptor and it still does not display the songs, etc. which is disappointing, but I'm still loving it. I assume it's a 2006, but don't know for sure. I also noticed that when I have "random play" selected, shut off the car and return, it starts where I left off, but I have to select the "random" button again, which is a little annoying, but I'll live with it.

Lovin' driving Lambchops, of course, no matter what.

Salt and Pepper, well I still haven't committed to an adaptor. I'm still debating with myself about replacing the entire system. In the meantime, I'm back to burning CDs from my ITunes library.

Escape Pod, welcome to the fold.

Is anyone in the Peerage going to be at MOTD this year? I just registered, and I'm hoping that I'm not the only PW/B member representing?

I might be going... I'm working on trying to arrange a room. If my option falls through -- does anyone need a roommate?

We should have a PW/B group photo taken or some other sort of event? Any ideas?

A photo would be cool...I'm not sure what we're doing about lodging yet...

My MSC is EB/W but I'm painting my '57 MGA PW and it has a black top.

It's going to look sweet w/ red leather.

WHY? It's still just a day or two drive! The MINI is meant for driving these long distances...

I drove Casper from Knoxville to Monterey in December to do a track day at Laguna Seca. It was a long drive but fun.

That sounds yummy.

I have red seat covers on Casper as you couldn't get red inside in '04. The new and improved Super Casper on the way has red inside also. I love a subdued color outside and a flash of color inside.

Same here - I wished there had been full red cloth seats available. The Space gray cloth just doesn't do it for me. Clashes with the PW I'd love to see any pix if you have any of the seat covers. Are they Wet Okoles?

I'm actually thinking of red bonnet stripes now.

I've seen the red bonnet stripes. They look pretty cool.

Casper has the factory tartan red seat covers. Looks the same as the tartan fabric. I had Casper stitched on the head rest covers. I can't seem to find one of the many pictures of the interior but I do have this one of the head rest covers.

I have done other small red accents on the exterior. The dragons, the Phil Wicks Lion logos, and the tiny track graphics of those track I have visited are all red.

I have been debating on seat covers. I would really like to get the wet okoles, maybe with the vivid green centers, then I would get the green S stickers to put on the outside. If I don't do that I may do the black with a tan/camel center and have El Kabong stitched on the headrests, the tan/camel center would be done to go with El Kabongs guitar. Any opinions out there?

You have to know that black and tan with El Kabong would be my pick.

Although my favorite color is greeen I just can't feature it with the pepper white. And I think the Wet Okoles are great. I almost went that route. I think Laura in Atlanta has them in red if you are interested in taking a look in person.

Darn, and I was with Laura, and the rest of the MINI club yesterday bowling. My other thought was to just do all black/grey with white piping. Kind of understated.
Green is my favorite color, too. My plan is to paint El Kabong a very vivid green at some time in the distant future! Or maybe I'll get that classic Mini I've been dreaming of and paint it!
