My First Post!

Hi all - this is my very first post on NAM! I have had my lil' purple rocker for 6 months now and its the coolest car I have every owned (and I thought nothing would top my VW New Beetle!)

My absolute favorite color is purple. I have a purple motorcycle, most of my wardrobe is purple, as is most every room of my house. I wanted a MINI after seeing Austing Powers and The Italian Job, but didn't think it a very "practical" car...

...then I found out they came in PURPLE!

I tried to name my little dude, but nothing stuck, so he's just "The MINI" around here. Oh, and my boyfriend LOVES to drive it

My little man is an '05 MCS - white roof & bonnet stripes - Harmon Kardon speakers w/iPod adapter - tinted rear windows - Premium Package - Sport Package w/17" Web Spoke wheels (also 16" white rims with all weather tires for the upcoming Illinois winter) - Cold Weather Package (again for the IL winter) - cloth black interior (not a leather girl) - and JCW air filter.

I wish I had the complete JCW package, but could not afford the upgrade at the time - oh well, my next MINI will be a little monster!

I'll try to get a pic up sometime, like I said, I'm new round here!

Peace and Love,
Amanda

Another try...

Got it!! Finally...Thanks Rollin!!!

Even though this is my wife's car and I am "officially" not allowed to drive it (coz 1) I did not want her to buy a MINI 2) I did not think Purple Haze was a good color SACRILEGE!!) I know for sure that I love the MINI more than my wife does!!!!!!!!

Having lived with for a month, I can tell u that PH is like getting atleast 3 colors for the price of one and the silver roof, IT ROCKS!!!! Now, I have to practice my photographic skills (non-existent) to get the right purple in a photo!!!!

(as a married NAMer, I won't touch the marital "issues" , but I will agree with the above sentiments!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
P.S. You two might want to consider separate NAM usernames

Me too!

An oh five MCS, white bonnet stripes, white top (no sunroof) and chrome package. This MINI lives in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado and is a member of the MINI5280 club (www.MINI5280.org). Took delivery from Baron MINI in Kansas City in early August 2004 (yes, 04). See my photos at http://coloradorick.smugmug.com/Cars . I've only seen a couple of other purple MINIs (and classic Minis) around here. I love the color!

I am a purple girl! Mine is on the way, and I can hardly wait for him to arrive. He is on a boat right now somewhere in the Atlantic, and should hit SC on the 28th. I am hoping to pick him up sometime in early December...the best Christmas present a girl could get for herself! Mine is a PH/w MCS with white bonnet stripes, checkerboard sunroof graphics, convenience, sport and premium packages, English Panther black leather, LSD, PDC, driving lamps, chrome interior and exterior, standard transmission, and much much more. The only problem with ordering that I have encountered is the interminable wait, but the day is drawing near when I finally get to meet him!

Bonnet stripe color?

rydergal, what color are your bonnet stripes (and checkerboard roof) going to be? I like the look of the driving lights. I painted the MINI lettering of the plastic covers (see a few posts back). I'm thinking that I may need some boot stipes.

I don't have any really good pictures. I just like this decal that I found.

Once I found out that the MINI came in Purple Haze, there was no other choice for me to order. I LOVE the color and the way it changes with the light.

When I tell people the color of my MINI is Purple Haze, they always have a weird reaction, like it is going to be Barney purple or something. Once they actually see the MINI, they LOVE the color too. (not that it would matter that anyone besides me loved the color)

White bonnet stripes, and black & white checkerboard on the sunroof. As soon as I get him (sometime in early December...he is crossing the pond at this very moment), I will post lots of pics!

He is going to be sharp!

Hi purplefreak60! I like your choice of white bonnet stripes and matching mirror caps and roof. Please consider joining the local MINI Cooper enthusiasts' club MINI5280 (we're at www.MINI5280.org) for some fun rides (yes, every month of the year!) and our holiday party Dec. 11 in Golden.

Purple Minis

Hi Rick,

I think I joined...gotta send in the bucks still tho! I love Spike, tho I am rethinking the white rims...pain to keep clean...especially since I've been told I use my brakes too much

I'm definitely joining y'all for the Vegas trip. I looked at the site for last year and it looked like a BLAST!

Take care
Lynn
