MINI scanner suggestions

I have both first gen and second gen MINI's. Currently I have an Ultragauge that supposedly displays trouble codes and will clear check engine lights. I also have an older OBDII Bluetooth code reader that I've never gotten to work correctly. I have seen threads that talk about scanners that can pinpoint a bad wheel sensor (Creator C310) and I know there are also ones that will clear the airbag light. What I'm looking for are specific suggestions for a unit that can pinpoint a bad sensor and clear airbag lights that works for both first gen and second gen cars. Preferably under $250. Can anyone recommend a specific unit (links would be nice) that meets that criteria?

Have a look at the Bavarian Technik tool. It's PC-based and really powerful.

Also, check out the AutoEnginuity Complete OBDII Diagnostic Tool. Lots of detailed information on it here, including a comparison chart. It's a great tool because it does a lot that most of the generic ones don't do. Right about at your $250 price point and it qualifies for free shipping. I know some of the members on here use it, so do some research and check it out. If you have questions let me know. Good luck!

310+

The 310+ will give you info on each wheel sensor and clear the SRS light. I have an r53 and it worked fine. It has the r56 in the menu along with many BMWs. I ended up selling it to upgrade to a more powerful Foxwell.

I have the Schwaben scan tool from ECS and am very happy with it. It will activate individual modules, clear the SRS light, battery registration, etc. and it reads the BMW specific codes for Mini’s. The price is right there at the upper end of your range. It’s worth a look.
