Is the thumbdrive goodie worth anything?

When I bought my MINI, new, a month or so back, I got a MINI thumbdrive with it. The salesman said it contains some "goodies". I finally got around to plugging it into my computer (Macbook Pro) last night, only to discover that the only thing on the thumbdrive is a .exe file, which my computer can't run of course. No, I'm not going to install Windows on my Mac.

So, the question is, is whatever is on there worth digging an old Windows machine out of mothballs and getting it going? Or is it just marketing and hype stuff?

Thanks!

Dave

I have an iMac. Does the thumb drive have the file "aboutyourmini.macpublish.app? That will open up an interactive Flash program that has videos to teach you about all the features of the car.

I also received a 1GB Mini-shaped thumb drive in the goodie bag that was sent about 2 months after I purchased my Mini. It only has one file that is just a link to the Mini USA web site.

I got one with my 2010 MCS Camden Edition. The contents are simple videos of some of the features of any MINI--nothing most any owner wouldn't know anyway. I just save the drive (it has a MINI logo on it) so someday when I sell the car the new owner will have everything that came with it.

That's a good point. I'll do that. There's little profit in formatting a 512 MB thumb drive anyway. I wouldn't use it much, and I have several others that have many times the capacity.

No. Just the .exe. Evidently MINI doesn't think that anyone with an Apple computer will buy one of their cars.

I would think that Mini and Apple go together better than a Mini and Windows. Probably more so 15 years ago when both were not mainstream.

No Apple Computer owners will buy it...or Android owners. Just Apple iPhone owners...
