Spacers/Wheels/Tires??Need Advise
Hi, looking for some wheel/tire advise.I have a 2007 MCSC R52, which is my first MINI, that I bought a couple of months ago.
On the drivers side door jamb, there is a sticker that says tire size is 205/45R17. but the car has 16" wheels, with all season radials on them.I looked up the car in the NAM VIN Decoder https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...inDecoderFarea but it doesn't list original tire size.
I'm assuming the previous owner traded the car in with the 16's, and sold the 17's. Either way I want to but some aftermarket 17" wheels and tires,(Car won't be driven in the winter) and at the same time slightly widen the stance of the car. So my question is what is a reasonable size wheel pacer? And what width wheel/ tire combo can I use, to increase the stance, without creating any rubbing issues? I am planning some future mods, over the next few years, and a brake rotor upgrade is on the list....
Thanks

Looking to do the same on my Clubman. It's my understanding the offset depends on a host of variables; lowered, specfic wheel and tire as the contour of tires of the same size can vary. You can get some ballpark figures but you'll have to see what works for your set up while achieving the look you're after.
