Post your subwoofers here

Wanting to put a sub in my car. Not wanting to go bigger than a 10". I want to see what everyone has!

I have a Sony Xplod 10", it is the perfect amount of thump without being obnoxious and annoying. I used to run two 12" subs, thinking it was the right ratio of bass to treble. No. No. No.

I have a 10" Alpine Type-X. Takes up about half of the rear of my MINI but it sounds great.

This is a 12" a dual VC MBQuart in a 1 cubic ft box. I have a separate bass gain so I can control for the music I'm listening to. down for "Too Short" and more for AC/DC I think I still have the drawing how I built it if you want. There are more pics in my gallery if interested. I also live in Kent,wa so if you want I could always meet up somewhere to get a better look and listen.

I have a 10" MTX in my trunk as well. It takes up about half, I need to get a better box that I can wedge underneath the little bulge on the side. It sounds great but honestly I could probably do with a smaller one. If I crank it up it's window rattling and deafening, probably overkill really.

scoopieb- Hell ya I'd love to hear.
I was thinking about maybe an 8 or 10" 10 at the most. I want to make it flush with the boot lip if I can. But if not possible I want to make it look the best I can.

Here is my setup, 10" Type-X with a 1200w RMS amp hidden where the tool kit was. Then up front I have a Pioneer Double Din with a remote bass control ****.

Alpine Type R 8" in a ported enclosure. Alpine sells it this way and it fits perfectly in the back of the Mini. The rest of my stereo is in my signature.

So far I have made this in sketch-up, I want to make a clear cover from polycarb. Still no clue on final design this is my first idea box build.

Ok the 07 up photo is what I want to do something where I still have a trunk so it isn't completely useless or obnoxious looking like the 02-07 (no offense just not my style)

No offense taken. I was sponsored by Diamond Audio at the time and that is what they wanted to have promoted . I hardly ever listened to it as I liked the sound of the car a lot better. It weighed way too much and that entire setup has been collecting dust in the garage for several years now

I just got a Pioneer 10" shallow mount pre-enclosed sub. I wanted some more oomph for my music but wasn't gonna go whole-hog (head unit, amp, etc.) so this was the perfect compromise -- a very nice addition to the factory H/K system.

The box is small enough that I still have plenty of room left in the boot.
