Breathed a sigh of relief that Scotland did not vote to break away from the UK. I'd have to put black tape on my Union Jack scuttles! If people are wondering how it's designed, there is a reason the UK flag is red, white and blue. The red symbolizes England. The blue is Wales and the white is Scotland because it's the shape of the St. Andrews cross (look at a picture of the Scottish flag, you'll see where the cross comes from.) A Briton told me online that IF the "divorce" had gone through, it's possible (but not 100%) that they would likely have blotted out the white background so we'd have a red and blue flag.

Only the white diagonals AND the blue.
The Union Jack does not represent Wales.
