Side Skirt Paint idea.

Well, not paint, its Plasti dip of course but i had an idea. Not sure if I like it or not, but Eh....

Opinions are very welcomed here...

I was going for a solid black to whooosh type thing.

Is it a gradient? I like the idea but I don't think it's possible to get smooth enough using a spray paint. Not sure what else you could use though other than a printed vinyl.

Maybe try to fade it the other way, and fade into the duct?

I'll repeat what I said on FB.

It just looks kind of dirty. Like built up brake dust on a white S-lite wheel.

But I'll agree with calforhelp, perhaps vinyl would get the effect you like a little better.

Yep,

I would try to use the 3M 1080 black or similar on the plastics , clean of course without the plastic dip and then plasti dip from the 1080 up. That might give you a more even and cleaner line. Good luck on whatever you choice, looks like great project. Like the aero side skirts.

Thanks

I agree with the others it just looks dirty. It can be done, just got to practice, practice, practice. Though using black down there it may always just look dirty. If using a contrasting color and get it faded right it may look good, say if you were tying it in with colored stripes, or mirrors etc...
