I'm making plans to drive all the way in MTTS this summer. The problem is that I live/work in LA, and can only get enough time off to actually make the drive. I don't have time to drive all the way back home again after MTTS wraps in Boston. I could just drive half-way and then turn around and come home again, but I'd like to go the whole way. I can get myself a plane ticket back home, but I don't want to try and claim the Clubman as a carry-on, and I don't think they'll let me check it either. So the dilemma is how to get it back home to LA from Boston. I don't see trying to get someone to drive it back; I'm figuring on putting it on a transport. Anybody have stories from doing this before? How did it work out? What should I expect, and what should I look for?

How much do you like your car? If it were me, I'd look into enclosed transport, and it would probably cost $1500 or so.
