So my kid decided to crash-test my '05 MCS against a telephone pole early Saturday AM.
Pole was totaled, MINI sustained an estimated $8,200.00 in damage.
Living out here in "the sticks", 100 miles west of Chicago, I can't think of a local shop who I would trust to do the body work AND the mechanical work (broken axle, new steering wheel/column, and God only knows what else that the State Farm insurance adjuster hasn't spotted).
I'm thinking that I'd better have it flat-bedded to a dealership (nearest one to me is Patrick, in Schaumburg) or a VERY highly-rated indy shop.
Who can relate their experiences?
Thanks!
Oh yeah; the kid is okay. Just a couple small airbag burns on his arms and a small bump on the head.
