For BMW to put BMW logos on MINIs is not going to work at all. MINI was a stand alone company from the getgo, so it will be very challenging to convince the public a MINI was originally a BMW.
But it will work with Honda and Toyota putting their logo on Acura and Lexus. Cause even if you drive an Acura or Lexus, that's right, its still a Honda or Toyota.

I have an early build R56S and the gromits above and below the door latches have the BMW logo .One got lost during PDR work and it took the parts guys months to find some that match .
Well...while the new gen MINI's are technically BMW's, at least in my eyes... I like the fact that BMW keeps the "MINI Value" with not labeling everything with BMW badges, I also say I own a BMW sometimes. Whether you like it or not...a new gen MINI would have probably never happened without BMW.

I agree...I have a BMW and I see much of BMW's signature in the cockpit.

[I had to rewrite my entire post after realizing I'm a total hypocrite on this question!]
I accept polizei's comment. Yet, if the MINI were a BMW I would never have even considered owning one, regardless of price, and for all the wrong reasons. Four years as a MINI owner, I don't hate BMWs as much as I used to and appreciate the engineering that made its way back to Oxford.
To answer the question, if, for example, I took my car in for service and it came out with a BMW logo, I believe the phrase "hell to pay" would reverberate throughout the dealership, quite loudly. But they're used to that!
(FWIW, this is a photo I took of one of my motoring buddies' Cabrio. I'll admit it looks nice- on someone else's MINI.)
I'm not berating your choice of vehicle, so don't do so to mine. I'm getting 75+MPG, and the car is suiting my 700-800 mile a week drives alot better than the 22-25mpg the MINI was.
As far as my BMW wings go, I believe I had Cooperflags make them for me. They were like $35 dollars shipped.
I had ALOT of comments on them wherever I went. I went to quite a few euro shows with my car, and I got the most positive comments form those guys.
If I were to do it again, I would make sure to heat up the vinyl before putting it on, or doing the soap and water method, as it was hard to get the wrinkles out of a convex badge covered with a flat piece of vinyl.
