Sparkling Silver Owners Club

So I've been looking and I have yet to find an Official Sparkling Silver Owners Club. How about we start one here? I'm wondering just how many SS's there are wondering about. Although I don't quite have mine yet, I should within the next week (hopefully). I'm dying to talk to others that have theirs or waiting for theirs. I have yet to see a picture of an SS/B MC w/stripes. Is there any one else out there? Please show yourselves. My mini wants to know if it has any brothers or sisters!

Yes, Smiley, I agree that we need an official SS Owners' Club.

We could use an official logo, and perhaps a motoring badge as well, don't you think? Some of the clubs on NAM seem to assign serial numbers to their members. Not quite sure what purpose this serves...anyone?

Even though Sparkling Silver is apparently one of the most popular colors for the R56, I have yet to see one in the wild, not counting my own and ones I've seen at the dealer. For the moment, at least, we're a rare (and elegant, if I do say so myself) sight.

I also noticed when I updated my profile on the MINIUSA Owners' Lounge that they did not even list Sparkling Silver as one of the color choices. Come on guys, get with it!

I have one (see my gallery). I'll join. Question about SS: At a recent rally in Scottsdale (50-60 cars at least) there were zero SS, only the new R56's from the dealer. I see one around town, but it's a convertable. Is this a new color for the sedan?

According to the 1st Gear Forum sticky on colors, Sparkling Silver is new for 2007. But you're right, it's not just for R56's, but for the convertibles as well.

There are certainly plenty of new Sparkling Silver owners out there and they merit a club. It's a great color, and hopefully there will be plenty of owners in the future.

I love mine!

I was a little nervous about getting the sparkling silver after some people called it tan not silver. But I get more compliments on the color than about
any other car I've owned.

Count me into your club, if you will. I have said it before and I'll repeat it I think Sparkling silver is a very "upscale" looking color, especially with the oak amd 16" bridge spokes ( ok I'm biased)
I too get great compliments on my "tan" car, or even once my "green" car!!

I love my Sparkling Silver car. Steal the logo from my signature. I painted the roof and mirrors white in the logo.

Now all we need is a logo that has the roof rack as well!

Hello, I am in here as well!!

Thanks Chopperace for the SS button, I have looked everywhere for one, and could never find it!

I fell in love with the SS/B right away as soon as I clicked it. It was sold just like that!!

I just finished putting over 1000kms in 4 days tonight, and I don't commute. What a GREAT car!! I fell in love with the MINI's when they 1st came out, and 5 years later, she's in my parking spot!! Aahhh, what a relief she is!

Here's Emma!
(You are so right about the green---at sunset I swear she is seafoam green.)
I haven't seen any other SS in person.

Since we all know what the outside of the cars looks like, lets see the interior options.

Mini is redwood lounge leather, grey line, brush alloy, chrome

got it, love it....

My 3rd Mini in as many years but the SS is maybe my favorite thus far.
-It is a color that changes w/ the light which is nice.
-I'll join the club!
PS. My associate at work got one. Copy cat.

Minivoice,
Our SS/B's may be twins, but they aren't identical. I noticed from your gallery that you don't have Xenons. Also, your interior is much flashier than mine. The only interior upgrade I have is MFSW; otherwise all is standard, including leatherette. I don't have any interior photos; they would really be too boring.
But it's all good! (Love your interior.)
