And BTW, any Justacooper autox or track folks in the SF Bay Area?
Me, at least half the time. I'm thinking of taking the JustaCooper to the next track day. (July 5th at Infineon.)

My justacooper has been through a lot lately. onasled is using it as the test car for some track only suspension upgrades. The testing path has not been 100% smooth, so there has been a lot of wrenching going on on the car in the last couple of weeks.
But, the brown MINI is still out there as much as possible. So far this season, that has been one track day at NHMS, instructing at a BMW club skills school (car control clinic) - including giving rides to some other MINI owners... owners of Cooper S's that were stock or had the "normal" mods for a Cooper S... they were flabbergasted by the handling of the justacooper.
And one dat at Le Circuit Mont Tremblant - unfortunately, I broke a CV joint towards the end of the day and couldn't drive on day 2.
The car is back together, but still making some disconcerting noises. I may autocross it this Sunday - I'm waiting on word from onasled as to wether the best course of action is to drive it hard and try to break it, or baby it and get it to him so he can try to find the source of the noise.
Fingers crossed, it will be close enough to 100% to make it through the 2 day BMC club event at NHMS on July 5-6. I'll have the onasled support vehicle there to do some suspension tuning - if the car is track ready. So, send some positive vibes my way.
breaking things always works.. its just not a cost friendly route :P its awesome that you are pushing the cooper man :tu:come play at some of our tracks

I usually drive the 7 to autocross, it was moded to SCCA ASP rules, but the Mini is so much fun I just have to take it sometimes. It's been on the Nashville Superspeedway road course, but I need more camber then the factory thought I should have, and don't get me started on the Conti tires.

You can dip the camber to about -.5 legally and stay in HS. And I’d bet with some different tires and lighter wheels you could get some more time off.
Good driving!
Rob
I plan on putting it on an alignment machine and doing the "three bolt" camber adjustment, I just want to see what it does to the toe-in, and make sure camber is equal side to side, and I'm hopeful that I can get 4 16 inch wheels from a cooler S from someone locally, too. 16 inch wheels and high performance tires for summer, and 15 inch with Conti's for winter is the plan.

Next year however I plan to run Hoosiers on 7-hole wheels and have Koni Yellows by season's end. With the reclassification of several cars, HS is going to be very competitive in my region. We tend to draw drivers from the Tenn region and the Asheville region. Jopin us for a great Sunday with one of the friendliest regions around!
BTW i would like to have a JustaCooper sticker for my little monster, where can i get one?
