Indy cars at Infineon FREE!

there is a free promo event at Infineon April 12-13. IRL is doing a race at Infineon in August, and they are having test days on Tuesday and Wednesday. You can meet the drivers and see the cars on Tuesday morning, and they will be on the track Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday all day.

What is that, Sears Point? I used to go to Champ Car practices at Mid-Ohio. What a great time. No crowds, low-key, drivers very approachable (if you don't interrupt their work). I've had conversations with Alex Zanardi, Parker Johnstone, Paul Newman, Greg Moore, to name a few. These are always great opportunities to see and do things you just can't do on a race weekend.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

Yep, that's the new (and unfortunate, but they didn't ask me) name of Sears Point. I do believe our NAM-buddy jimz68 will be shooting that race. I agree that practice is a good time and it's when I usually get my driver shots. All great guys you mention. At least Newman is still around and still gets to nearly all the Champ Car races. And nothing against drag racing (I like to watch it), but I wish ESPN would put Parker to better use.
