I mean identical - like Hamilton and Rosberg both in the Mercedes, with the only difference being driver setup preferences. Ferrari has made big improvements but still don't quite have the same pace. I think Vettel is the only driver in the current crop who could match Hamilton given identical equipment.

 

I'm afraid I was a little too subtle in my earlier reply. What I MEANT to say was, that if Ferrari offered Hamilton a ride, I bet he would take it. Then we would have that head-to-head match up. The only reason I can think of that he might not would be if he thought he'd be the #2 driver, but I think his ego would remove that doubt.

 

LOL that was too subtle, at least for my dense skull, though in my defense Hamilton has a new 3 year $140M contract and the fastest car on the track, so I don't see him going anywhere.
