It is interesting to see that MINI Connected (the device in the car) can be supported either trhough MINI Connected (the app) and its various modules (RSS, Twitter and now Facebook) AND directly from independent apps like Pandora. This provides a lot of flexibility.

Just configured the Facebook module in the MINI Connected app and it used the Facebook APIs to connect to your status line, wall and other objects. Looking forward to seeing what it does in car, though I am still just using my iPad for testing this as I do not own an iPhone and will not until Verizon releases a global version.

I'm also looking forward to seeing what else comes along with MINI Connected... It would be cool to offer small magnetized cameras you could put anywhere on the car, that would forward video to the iOS device for recording and display on the main monitor.

That should come with the iPhone 5 later this year when they shift to a multi-service QualComm chip (that can handle GSM and CDMA).
