B38 3cyl Turbo Oil Return Line Leak
I’ve had my 2015 Cooper M/T for just over one year now and it only has 7600 miles on it. Two weeks ago I had the first service done and this past Friday, I had to make an unexpected trip to my parents house which is about 250 miles one way. I usually do a quick look at everything before I go on a small trip, tire pressures, underhood fluids, etc. I noticed a small drop of oil in my garage under the MINI and thought it was strange, but thought maybe it was just some residual from the oil change done a few weeks prior. As I was under the hood looking with a bright flashlight, I noticed some oil build up on a bolt near the turbo at the back of the engine.
As you all know, you can’t see a whole lot from the top, so I turned the wheels to full left lock so I could get a better view of the back of the engine from the right front wheel well. When I looked up at the turbo, I noticed oil dripping from the oil return line, dripping onto the lower turbo coolant line and down onto the subframe right at the right inboard CV joint.
Just curious if anyone else has had this happen to them? I understand things happen, so I have an appointment today to get it fixed/replaced. Hope it’s just a one time deal and not a problem moving forward. Here’s a few pics:

First i have heard of this, most were the early F56 with the oil filter gasket to head.

Just picked my car up. It wasn't actually the oil return line leaking. The casting for the turbo was leaking oil. Since the exhaust manifold is combined with the turbo, they replaced the entire assembly. Drives just fine and a quick look under the hood indicates they did a good job replacing it (no missing parts, scratches, etc.). Can't even tell anyone was in there. They cleaned all the oil up too.

Dang.. I'll have to check mine too or keep an eye on it. Man these things are picky.
By the way, when I was looking for the air vent inlet (to spray Lysol) in front of the windshield, I found they didn't screw in the rubber screw caps or whatever it's called. It was just rolling on that area and I was glad that it didn't go AWOL. Where is the air inlet anyway?

While my F56 was in service for rain sensor replacement (due to leaking gel for the X th time now), I also asked them to check the hose since mine was a little bit covered with oil. After couple days my car was done and I picked up my car. The paperwork said they replaced a slightly leaking Turbo oil return hose, but didn't replace the turbo or anything. I'll have to keep an eye on this thing.
My 2015 F56 has about 8000 miles, and it's been 1 year and 9 months.
Attached is a photo of mine before the hose replacement. You can see there's only slight seepage of oil on the hose.
