Fall 2008 Dragon Run

I know it is far off, but is there a Fall Dragon Run in the works for 2008? I am afraid I am going to have to miss MOTD 2008 because of work.

I heard that there was going to be one, but not sure on the date yet. I'm hoping to possibly attend as well to get the gorgous scenery that time of year!

My guess is that it is not planned out yet...I'm sure after MOTD there will be LOTS of talk about the next trip there!

Hope you can make that one!

Thanks for the reply. As soon as I get the date for the Autumn Run, I will be sure to blank out my work schedule. Where do the people stay? I have been staying at the Fontana Resort for the MOTDs. I heard of a MINI/Mini gathering where the main base is Alcoa, TN, but can't be sure if it is the Autumn Run. We are thinking that the Autumn one would be nice to do also, because of all the foliage.

I will have to get those checkered mirrors for mine. Winston03 just isn't quite fast enough yet. Keep in touch.

Hey hey! I got the fever for the Hot Orange and checkers too! When is MOTD for 2008? I am sure I am being lazy looking it up but a quick decision must be made of it is the same weekend as CigarFest. Thanks!:D

MOTD 2008 starts a day earlier this year, April 30 and goes through the weekend. They keep doing that and the event will be a week soon. Nothing wrong with that though. The event in Alcoa, TN is MINI meets east and is in Late summer, I think.

There are several fall meets - I expect (and hope) this continues, as it allows each one to be a bit more intimate vs. the bedlam (fun bedlam, but bedlam) that is MOTD.

OctCloverFest is in late October (third weekend? not sure) and most folks for that stay at the Tapoco Lodge.

MINIs Slay the Sleeping Dragon will be the last weekend in October in 2008 (because the next weekend is Halloween)... halfway between MOTD's...

There are some other groups that do other weekends around that same time. Odds are you can pick a weekend mid-October to mid-November and there will be some MINI group there...

We here at SODA POP's would like to thank every one who came for the ice cream run! Again it was such a pleasure having the mini's here in our little town. There was a great little article and PIC in the local paper of the run www.thesmokymouontaintimes.com . Please stop by and say hello if your back in town during the year!

Again, Thank you very much and were looking for the return trip next year.

Paul, Wanda, Justin and Cayla Crawley

Is there any info on the Fall MINI/Mini Run yet? I couldn't make the Dragon and need a fix. BTW - I went to the Ice Cream social last year and had a great time. Quite a crew. Thanks.

There's a bunch of Fall MINI runs... Pick a weekend in October and there's probably a group there...

Jason, Just went to the TarHeel site, but I guess you have to have a different password; the tarheel site doesn't take my MC2 sign in??? Anyway, Sheroyn and I have our room booked at the Lodge and will have TILLEY at MSSD. Put us down.

I am getting a little old and senile and have been off my pills for a while, but I have reservations for the MINI Awaken the Sleeping Dragon the last weekend of October and that is when I will be there. We are going to Ashville for the week prior to look for a rest home and buy STUFF. Safe travels to all.

My SO and I had a great time at the Dragon. Met some nice folks and have plans to be at the Dragon next fall. Safe Motoring to everyone until then.
