Switching between stock JCW wheels and Motegi winter wheels

Hey all!

I've been a spectator on this site for quite sometime now. Had a 2008 MCS and just got. Rid of her and picked up a JCW.

I'm currently running stock R112 JCW wheels on my 2012 JCW coupe. Just picked up some Motegi SP10 17" rims for my winter tires, but didn't realize that I'd need to get tuner bolts for them.

I've never had to use tuner bolts so I'm thinking about a couple of options:

1) using the stock bolts and getting tuner bolts for the winter wheels
2) getting a stud conversion kit for the car so I can just throw the wheel on with the same bolts.

Only problem is that I'm considering getting the car lowered in the near future (whole other discussion) and putting 15mm spacers on all four corners. (Not really planning on putting the spacers on in the winter)

I'm leaning towards option 1 but wondering where I can order a decent set of tuner bolts? I'm in Canada so my local options a very limited.

It does help but I was hoping to get something from a reputable company. I'm always weary buying stuff like that off of Amazon...

I've seen Motegi rims on a bunch of Mini's (On this forum included) and I didn't think it would be so hard to find these bolts.

Gotcha. Well, I've never had a problem with anything from Amazon. Even items that are from a reseller. Amazon stands behind it.

Regardless, just go to a local tire shop and get the bolts from them. They will have them or can order them.

Try Gorilla bolts from Discount Tire. I've used them for several years now.

Our Motegis came with tuner bolts when we ordered them from TireRack.

Stud conversions are great (absolutely love ours) but you'll probably have to run open-end lugs which if you don't change wheels that often can get kind of rusty in places they salt heavily. Not sure how big of a deal that is where you are. I would probably just source some tuner bolts and call it a day.

I have mixed feelings about stud conversions...
I ran a set on my car for a bit...just never looked "right" with my rims that had exposed lugs/bolts....
I ended up buying Tuner lugs from Gorilla and have been happy...

I've looked at gorilla tire and I can't seem to find any black bolts. I'll have to email them and see if they carry any. I've also sent tire rack an email because they don't have any bolts listed on the website, only the conversion kit.

I don't think I'm going to consider the conversion kit either. Seems like a ton of trouble and I'm not changing my tires frequently so it's not that huge of an advantage...

Talked to someone at tire rack and they are shipping me some bolts along with centering rings for the rims. Not too expensive but shipping to Canada is brutal... As per usual.
