Water temp is read through the ECU and fluctuates in temps with the AC engaged or not due to the electronic thermostat.

i am going to install these 45mm (1.75 inch)diameter x 1 inch deep Prosport Gauges ... mini gauges for a mini cooper
http://prosportgauges.com/45mm-gauges.aspx
45mm Electric Boost gauge
45mm Oil Pressure Gauge
45mm Oil Temperature Gauge
45mm Water temperature Gauge
45mm Volt Gauge
they also make a 45mm Exhaust Gas Temperature Gauge, but i am not going to install this one
i plan on making my own mount from .032 2024T3 sheet aluminium, attached to the back of the tach so 3 of gauges are in an arch over the top of the steering wheel and 2 are next to the tach, viewed thru the steering wheel
still toying with exact design, either a panel with holes (easier) or a spoke style with 5 branches (harder and may need heavier gauge) or some combination of the two
a friend of mine has a body shop and will color match paint the mount to the dash
from what i read on their site, the power for the gauges and lighting can be daisy-chained and only the 4 (or 5, not sure on the voltmeter) sensor wires need to go thru the firewall
probably a winter project, but i will post progress reports
step 1, order the gauges and adapters for senders is in progress now

Does anyone know if there are other gauges for the 2009+ fJCW? I currently have the JCW Sport Gauges kit (#62112183407) which I got for Christmas. I have the Water Temp installed and the only other options in the kit is the Lateral Acceleration and Relative Torque. I would like to add an Oil Pressure gauge. Is there one out there that would work with this kit?

I made my own gauge mount from some scrap 1/8" aluminum and 2" ABS drain pipe.
I have a boost/vacuum gauge, an oil temperature gauge, a water temperature gauge and an oil pressure gauge. I find that the oil temperature gauge tracks the water temperature (within 10 degrees)
I have been thinking of getting a water/meth system, and would replace the oil temperature gauge with the meth system gauge.
I have Mashall gauges, they have gauge faces that match the MINI tach and speedometer exactly, they use Autometer senders. I hooked them up with Cravenspeed gauge adapters.
