The only mod on the factory '09 JCW so far is the Pulsar. (Keeps the texters from driving thru the rear bumper).

The '02 JCW is faster, more agile and a lot more fun to drive. I need LDG to do some more tuning. There's this flat spot when I hit 135.

Get yourself a forge or helix intercooler, Dos CAI and a downpipe and you should be a little quicker than the 2002 jcw,get a tune and you may forget all about the old jcw.

The flat spot is when it goes full rich.

Laser Blue/Black all loaded up. Purchased 11-28 of last year on my birthday as a 40th birthday present to myself.

My mechanic will be installing the following items next week:
NM Engineering intake, heat shield, hot and cold pipes, torque arm bushings and SS brake lines.

Guess all that stuff is this years birthday present for me and my JCW. Just shy of 10,000 miles. Rest of the info is in my signature.

October 2008

My "Little Red" was purchased the end of October in 2008. I have 9,000+ miles on him now with no problems at all. I just added the Mini driving lights. I'm having to say that this is the best most fun car I have ever owned. It is extremely fast, Corners excellent, rides solid, comfortable, excellent MPG and easy to get in and out of.(I had a Corvettes before) It is just a very good car for my lifestyle.

I can keep up with the 412hp LS2 engined HSVs (AMG-type company to Holden)
at speeds below 100mph, but the LS3s are a little too quick....

On the twisties I don't even bother looking behind me....

Hi Stig one

I want to thank you for the invite but I just found out I have cancer so I will have to go to radiation treatrments every day for eight weeks. I was supposed to run at Daytona again in December but I guess that is out for this year. I will get hold of you if and when all of this cancer crap is over. I would really like to try Sebring.
Most of my friends have Porsche's and Audi's along with Corvettes and a few are thinking of getting a Mini just for the pure fun. Is it not great that our Mini Coopers get a great deal of respect from people that own "SUPERCARS" such as Audi R8's, Vipers, Porsches Etc. I have never been snubbed when arriving at an event in my 2009 JCW. I don't race but I sure enjoy doing "HOT LAPs" in a controled envirement. It is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

I really don't feel that bad.

The big problem I'm having is that the Doctors visits usually mess up my plans. I had to miss Mickey and Mini in Orlando because of having to go to the VA hospital in Gainesville. I was all signed up as well as the dinner, had my room reserved and my Doctor discovered the stupid lump in my stupid prostate got way to big way to fast. I missed Mini in the Mountains because of Doctors appointments. Now I will miss my hot laps at Daytona on the Rolex course in December. I would have liked the surgery and have the whole thing removed but due to other health problems they won't operate. I'm stuck with the radiotherephy which is every day for eight weeks. I'll get it done and be back in action next year.

I'm guessing that flat spot is the speed limiter.
