I looked around to see if anyone had posted this already but I didn't see it. What do you all think about this? Looks pretty cool to me but it doesn't come to North America until 2012.
...yeah so I just don't get it... why exactly make a coupe version of the MINI? For looks? Is that the real only reason? Ok, so now you take out the back seats, make the roof a little lower, looks a little 'sportier'.... but you leave the rest intact with the same specs as a JCW model? Personally, ok, at some angles the car kind of does look a little cool but then I just think what is really the point? Why not just get a JCW? If you watch the video on the MSN link, Gert Hildebrand himself talks about how there were 'coupe' versions of the original Mini so I guess this is where he's basing his concept from. But in the end I'm just still kind of icky about it... the MINI Coupe and the MINI Crossman too... just kind of like...WTF? I guess they are trying to expand their buyer base? So more people will be like... "oh hey, that kind of looks like a MINI but its more similar to 'regular' car proportions.." ... oh well, I guess this might be how some original Mini owners feel about the current redesign of the original to the MINI.
